Program Description

Full-Time Program

Our full-time program begins in September and runs through May.  Classes are held Monday through Thursday evenings as well as on Saturday mornings for our younger or more medically-frail students. Groups meet once a week during their scheduled class time at our studios.  We offer creative movement sessions as well as classes in tap, ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop and zumba.

The first semester we focus on studying our dance/movement techniques, and the second semester we shift our concentration to performance preparation. Choreography is set and rehearsed with our dance partners, costumes are tailored, and props are designed. The annual performance is the highlight of the dance season. It is an opportunity for our performers to share their accomplishments with friends and family.

The show promises to move you in a way no other will!

Day Habilitation Program

Since the fall of 1999, Moving Miracles has offered an in studio dance movement program for adults in our community who attend day habilitation and day treatment programs through various agencies throughout WNY. Classes are held one morning a week at our studios.  Each class is 45 minutes in length, during which time our friendly, energetic, and well-trained staff will lead participants through a warm-up stretch, followed by instruction in tap, jazz, ballet, or hip hop (depending on the interests of the students), and close with a group cool-down.  Day habilitation students also have the opportunity to participate in our annual performance, held the first weekend in May.  Instructors, dancers and their staff, as well as volunteers from the community, come together during class for exercise, socialization, creative expression and an opportunity to enrich their lives with music, movement and dance.

Note to Human Service Agencies: Participation in Moving Miracles is an allowable expenditure for Day habilitation programs.

Offsite Program

As Moving Miracles has grown, we have been fortunate to be able to share dance, movement, & music outside the studio with the development of our Community Outreach program.  We have just concluded our second year providing classes at Wee Can Preschool & Early Childhood program in Orchard Park. In past years we were able to visit Springville’s Preschool Learning Center and  have partnered with Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Carly's Club to bring our outreach program to pediatric cancer patients receiving treatment at RPCI. If your school or program is interested in participating in Moving Miracles, please contact us for more information.
